Product Description

Raw material introduction

The sample material of senna leaf extract is Cassia angustifolia Vahl or C The leaflet of acutifolia Delile. It has purgative, antibacterial and hemostatic effects.

Plant history

Senna has traditionally been considered a "cleansing" herb because of its cathartic properties. More modern studies have found that senna is very effective in treating constipation, whether caused by drugs or naturally. In addition, its leaves are sometimes made into paste and used for a variety of skin diseases. Both ringworm and acne can be treated with this treatment.

Senna Leaf Extract sample Plant history

Chemical composition

The senna leaf extract sample contains: about 3% of diananthrone glycosides (sennoside A, A1, B, C, D, E, F and G); And a small amount of anthraquinones, including aloe emodin and rhein - 8 - glucoside; About 10% of mucilage, tannin and flavonoids. The extract standard contains 8% sennoside. The product is mainly composed of sennoside

Pharmacological effect of senna leaf extract sample

1. Purgative effect: The effect of senna leaf extract sample is the strongest among anthracone glycosides such as sennoside A, followed by anthraquinone glycosides, and free anthraquinone may be oxidized through the digestive tract

2. Anti fungus: 25% water extract can inhibit microsporum orduonion and nocardia stellata by tube method.

3. Hemostasis: The total anthraquinone glycoside of senna leaf extract is 200mg/kg intraperitoneal injection, which has an inhibitory effect on the capillary method in mice.

4. Toxicity: The LD50 of sennoside on mice was 1.141g/kg when it was injected intraperitoneally.
